Check out part 1 of our “Let Pearlmila help you find your style” to understand the concept of style in fashion

Baddie

“Time to channel your inner badass, with the baddie-girl aesthetic you can imagine an array of fine designs and rich fabrics. Think oversized blazers with knee-high boots and those statement sunglasses you always hesitated to wear. The whole vibe speaks chic and confident to us, and you can simply be that girl by styling bodycon, your favourite designer pieces (perhaps that diamanté Prada baguette), and a heavy layer of makeup, and sleek hair. Don’t be afraid to go a little extra with the highlighter.”

The Baddie aesthetic is influenced heavily by the likes of the Kardashian/Jenner style, Cute Booty Lounge Coupons YouTube beauty gurus, and some of the more popular Instagram models. Clothing within the Baddie aesthetic includes:

Colour: They are not really colour specific, but these are the key colours Black, red, camo, beige and white.

Statement pieces:Crop top, Camo pants, Tube tops, Bodysuits, Sneaker, Name-brand clothing, ripped jeans, Long acrylic nails.

Make up :Baddie makeup puts a lot of emphasis on having very thick eyebrows, dark eyeliner, and lips (Kylie Jenner’s products are popular among the Baddie sect), using makeup to contour the face into an aesthetically pleasing fashion, usage of fake eyelashes, and lots of clear lip-gloss.

Hair:Long, dark straight wigs, Colored wigs, Braids (color is optional), Curly/wavy natural hair (either their own or a wig)
Barrett’s (hair accessory)
Edges (also known as “baby hair”)
Waves (for those with low hair)

Marximalist

“If you haven’t heard of it, maximalism is “the aesthetic of excess.” Ever since funky patterns were popularized in the 1960s, the maximalism movement has been here to make the most of every colour and design!

To dress maximalist is to embrace the idea that “more is more” and shy away from clean and simple minimalist designs and ensembles.”
Colours: A great habit to work into all of your outfits is to be mindful of the colour wheel.  However, stepping out of the neutral comfort zone is just as important!
Accessories:This is a major factor in maximalism. Accessorising with belts. Layering your necklace and wearing a lot of bangles is what makes a maximalist a maximalist “a do too much “.
Key pieces: The corset top is very important (specifically under the bust ). This elevates a piece Usually, when we think of an “investment piece” it’s a camel coat, Blazers, an LBD, or a basic pair of heels, or boots. Very colourful basic pieces to layer with eg: yellow body suit and tank tops

Minimalist

“Trends come and go, but minimalism sticks around. From Coco Chanel in the 1920s to Roy Halston in the ’70s to Helmut Lang in the ’90s, designers throughout the decades have all brought their spin to the prevailing style. The components may change from season to season (some years, it’s characterized by boxy brown suits, while other years, black drop-waist dresses take centre stage), but the premise remains the same.

Minimalism, in essence, is all about taking away the flash and clutter. Ease and elegance are its hallmarks, and so is a neutral colour palette. Minimalism refers to a lack of clutter or unnecessary detail.
Key pieces:Solid-color t-shirts (typically white or grey), Collared shirts, Button-up shirts, Belts
Khaki or black pants, Jeans Colors: black, white and/or some shades of grey. Neutral colours like beige, brown eye Bright colours can also be included but toned down with a neutral colour
